Isabel Perry is a Brooklyn-based director of theatre and film.
She directed a site-specific Guys and Dolls with older adults at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House in a reimagined production heralded as “ingenius” by Vulture.
She has also directed and developed work at Primary Stages, Soho Playhouse, The Tank, Art House Productions, Victory Gardens, and New York Theatre Festival. She has associate and assisted directors including Bartlett Sher, David Cromer, Lee Sunday Evans, and Jeff Ward at Lincoln Center, Second Stage, BAM, La MaMa, and the Lucille Lortel Theatre.
In 2024, her short film FISHBOWL screened at Palm Springs International ShortFest, Chicago International Film Festival, Hamptons International Film Festival, NewFest, and Big Apple Film Festival. It is a Vimeo Staff Pick and available to watch here. Her latest short HELGA starring Tuuli Sandvold and Michael Gandolfini recently finished post-production.
Isabel is a member of the ‘23-’24 Roundabout Directors Group, an instructor at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, and a script reader for The Playwrights Realm. She is a graduate of Northwestern University where she studied Theatre & Asian American Studies.
She is currently assisting Aaron Sorkin with research on his next film.
